Exclusive raw materials create music

Exclusive raw materials are principle quality attributes for Tocaro loudspeaker. We just use undyed cotton from controlled organic farming from Spain for our membranes. Only sorted fibers from inside the blossom are used.

To have a high-strength junction, our Tocaro-frames are built of three massive beechen layers and are furnished with special millings. The frame type-columns are also built uncompromising of massive beechen.

       

       

It took a long time before becoming the first note

Until you get to the point you can manufacture the membranes, the cotton has to be costly solved, sorted, dyed and dried. The Cellulose fibers will be conformed under high depression with pressing tools to its final membrane form by a special developed scoop process. Accordingly the membrane will be impregnated and heated per special process. The Seam gets a hand made permanent and UV resistant cover. This process takes two and a half month and guarantee an extremely high tensile strength.

The hardwood which is used for the timbre feather is calibrated by hand and with a special mixture of glue cross bonded.

Membrane, voice coil and timbre feather built after drying of the glue into the high quality pressure casting basket an unbreakable unit.

The resonance frame made of massive wood is an essential element of Tocaro. The construction of the alliance between the single elements is so strong that they would also keep together without glue. The frames are accurately hand made manufactured and tested in detail. Equally the asymmetric venting port behind the acoustic baffle is customized of thin multiplex wood.

The tripods are also made of massive wood and are mortised with the bottom and the top plate which made them extremely solid.
